The Historical Society invites students of all ages to a fun, educational experience at the History Museum, “Digging History." Walk-in hours are 10 am to 2 pm both days. Young historians will get the chance to dig through a sandbox filled with hidden artifacts to learn how – and why – archaeologists work to uncover objects from the past.
The "Digging History" experience is recommended for grades 1-5, but should be fun for learners of any age. The event, which is free, will also include crafts and refreshments as well as the chance to tour the History Museum’s permanent and temporary exhibits.
