More Than Four 5.04k
Join the 2nd annual 5.04K, uniting our community to recognize children battling cancer. Why 5.04K? The length of the run/walk event is 5.04K, reflecting the fact that only 4% of federal cancer research funding goes to pediatrics. The additional 0.04 kilometers in the race is meant to demonstrate how small 4 percent really is.
The 5.04K race was founded by Conor Rigan, who was diagnosed with Grade III Anaplastic Ependymoma, an aggressive brain tumor, at six months old. Conor invites his community to join him at the 5.04K to celebrate being a kid, no matter what tomorrow brings. 100% of net proceeds from the 5.04K will go directly to pediatric cancer research teams and supporting families dealing with pediatric cancer.
